We got four gold medals and champion from international competition Vinalies Internationales Paris 2020 ...

The best dry white wine of the competition was the dry Pálava Terroir U Venuše of the year 2018. Volarik winery got other gold medals - semi-sweet Riesling Terroir Purmice 2017, dry Riesling Terroir Purmice 2018 and sweet Pinot Noir 2017 in a selection of noble berries.

"It is nice and promising that dry Pálava is gaining ground in international competitions, which, thanks to its original aroma and taste, can be profiled in the most interesting variety from Czech and Moravian production for foreign consumers," says Miroslav Volařík.

Ing. Eliška Becková, an enologist at Volarik Winery, adds: "I must proudly say that it is very encouraging to see how the quality of Moravian and Czech wines is beginning to stand out in international competitions. Congratulations to all winemakers from Czech Republic, who also win medals from this prestigious competition. Knowing that our dry Pálava is at the forefront of white dry wines is the most luxurious icing on the cake. We have a great team that does a great job! "

In the 26th year of the competition, organized by the Union of French Oenologists, 2,959 wines from 688 producers from 45 countries gathered. Traditionally, the awarded wines automatically become part of the well-known publication 1,000 Vins du Monde - 1,000 Best Wines in the World. The Czech Republic will win a total of 41 medals - 13 gold and 28 silver.
